Charley Ward is a Research Assistant to Masood Ahmed and Mark Plant, working on IMF reform, sovereign debt, and climate finance. Prior to joining CGD, Charley was a Research Assistant at the Wilson Center and the Caspian Policy Center where he studied international trade, investment, and development. Charley has an MSc in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics, and his dissertation on the historical basis for Ricardian comparative advantage received a departmental prize. He has a Bachelor's in Political Science and Economics from Swarthmore College.
