Ignacio Albe is a Research Assistant for the Latin America Initiative at the Center for Global Development. Prior to joining CGD, Ignacio worked at the Georgetown Americas Institute where he assisted the Director with his research on issues related to political economy in Latin America and in Argentina in particular. He also interned at the Inter-American Development Bank, the Inter-American Dialogue, and Blue Star Strategies. Back in Argentina Ignacio also was the personal assistant to the mayor of his hometown, Pilar, in the Greater Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area. Ignacio holds a Master of Science degree in Foreign Affairs with a concentration in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STEM) from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and a Master of Law degree in China Studies with a concentration in Politics & International Relations from the Yenching Academy of Peking University in Beijing, China. He completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
