Laura Granito is a Research Assistant for the Europe Programme at CGD. She has a background in applied economic development policies and EU policy evaluation. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an MSc in Development Management, with a specialism in Applied Development Economics. She has a background in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, with a major in Economics and Econometrics, thanks to her BA pursued at the University of York. Laura worked for two years as a policy consultant for the Centre for Strategy and Evaluation Services (CSES) focusing on EU policy evaluation and impact assessment on areas such as gender equality, digital fairness, criminal justice and European anti-corruption policies. She previously worked as a student consultant with the International Governance & Risk Institute (GovRisk) working on anticorruption policies in LATAM countries. During her studies, Laura has interned at the EPICENTER think tank, and she was in charge of directing the UK branch of FFIPP EUROPE, a human rights NGO in Palestine/Israel aiming to enhance international cooperation at an academic level. Laura has experience in regression analysis through STATA and OxMetrics.
Laura is fluent in Italian and English and has a conversational level of French.
