Mahima Gunapooti is a program coordinator with the Global Education and Child Well-being team at CGD. Prior to joining CGD, she completed an English Teaching Assistantship in South Korea through the Fulbright Program, where she taught high school English classes and coordinated cultural engagement events for students. She also worked with the Southeast Asia team at the National Democratic Institute as a Project Assistant, supporting USG grant-funded, pro-democracy programs in Thailand and Myanmar. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at various NGOs, including the Council on Foreign Relations, U.S. Institute of Peace, and Freedom House. Mahima graduated from the George Washington University in 2022 with a B.A. in International Affairs and Political Science, and a minor in Public Policy.
