India is among the fastest growing economies in the world, in large part due to sound macroeconomic policies, rapid investments in digital and physical public infrastructure, and the formalization of the Indian economy.
Building on his experience in contributing to India’s past economic reforms and a V-shaped recovery after the COVID-crisis, join Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian as he lays out a vision for India in the next two decades that is both ambitious and achievable. The discussion will highlight reforms that are needed to achieve Viksit Bharat (“Advanced India”), and the new opportunities and challenges India is likely to face, including the impact of President Trump’s economic policies and international strategic alliances.
Joining the conversation will be Professor Pravin Krishna, an expert in international economics, the political economy of policy reform, and India’s economic development.
The conversation will draw on work from Dr. Subramanian’s recent book, India@100, which meticulously outlines India’s path to becoming the third-largest economy by 2047 — one hundred years after it gained independence from Great Britain.
