Maleeha Hameed is a Senior Policy Analyst – Education and Child Well-Being at the Centre for Global Development. She works at the intersection of research and policy in education, with experience across South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central America. Before joining CGD, she led the Learning and Educational Achievements in Pakistan Schools (LEAPS) portfolio at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan, where she managed the RISE Pakistan Country Research Team and advanced a post-COVID foundational learning program that translated research into policy action. She has also consulted with the World Bank’s Education Global Practice and Africa units and held research roles at Gui2de and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). Previously, she contributed to the launch of the School of Education at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and its first graduate program in Pakistan. Maleeha holds a master’s in international development policy from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s in economics and politics from LUMS.
