Amanda Leverett

As CGD’s senior manager for events and outreach, Amanda Leverett manages the Center’s 130+ events each year, including everything from private roundtables to small seminars to book launches and other large public forums. Before joining the Center, she was a protocol specialist at the Africa Center for Strategic Studies. In that capacity, she planned and executed special events and conferences for the US Department of Defense in DC and in Africa; coordinated with embassies, ministries, and other government agencies; and supported high-level foreign dignitaries and US officials for speaking engagements. Leverett graduated from West Virginia University with an MA in French Literature.
