Asia and China: Growing Together?

On June 23 the Center for Global Development and the Asian Development Bank hosted an event titled, "Asia and China: Growing Together?" Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, president of the Asian Development Bank, was the featured speaker. Mr. Kuroda became the Asian Development Bank's eighth President on February 1, 2005. The event marked his first public speech in Washington D.C. since taking the office of President.

Comments were given after the speech by Dr. Nick Lardy, Senior Fellow, Institute for International Economics and Dr. Peter Timmer, Senior Fellow, Center for Global Development. Lawrence MacDonald, Director of Communications and Policy, Center for Global Development was the moderator.
