Nayke Montgomery is a research assistant at the Center for Global Development for the Sustainable Development Finance team. He is currently working on MDB reform on international development and sectoral points such as climate finance, gender, and the private sector. He also works closely with CGD’s gender team on the intersection of gender and IFIs. Nayke brings a wealth of experience in data analysis and quantitative methods with an economics background. He previously worked on CGD’s Latin America Initiative’s research on emerging markets, regional synthesis, and coordination of events with high-level colleagues in the region. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finances from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM). During his undergraduate years, Nayke was an exchange student at Sciences Po, Paris, and Yonsei University, South Korea. Nayke is bilingual in English and Spanish and has an interest in advancing evidence-based methods for policy and decision-making.
