CGD’s Global Education and Child Well-being Program envisions a world where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish. To reach that goal, we put children at the center of global development by advancing bold, evidence-based solutions that expand learning and create the conditions for every child to thrive. Our research combines intellectual rigor and innovation to develop practical policy solutions to deliver measurable impact and concrete change. By partnering with organizations in low- and middle-income countries, we ensure that our work is context-driven, inclusive, and rooted in lived realities. We challenge orthodoxy and prioritize evidence—even when it contradicts the agendas of established actors— to ensure that, on a global scale, all children have equal opportunities to thrive.
