Fredrick Barton, a Senior Adviser in the International Security Program and Co-Director of the Post-Conflict Reconstruction Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Mary Goodman, with Moore Capital Strategies Group and former U.S. Treasury Paris Club Debt Negotiator and Michael Kremer, a Professor of Economics at Harvard University and a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development (CGD) offered their insights in a not for attribution discussion. To learn more about the Iraq's debt problems read: the Center for Strategic and International Studies background piece on Iraqi debt, Ted Truman's op-ed in the Financial Times, Michael Kremer and Seema Jayachandran op-ed in the Financial Times, and their Brookings Institution Policy Brief.
