The IMF has recently developed a comprehensive dataset, World Revenue Longitudinal Database (WoRLD), that tracks government revenue trends in 193 countries since the early 1990s. This resource offers policymakers, researchers, and the public insights into the evolution of both the level and composition of revenues. With annual updates to its consistent, reliable data, the database enables cross-country comparisons and longitudinal analysis, making it a valuable resource for understanding revenue mobilization performance on a global scale.

The event will showcase diverse perspectives from policymakers and researchers on how this new database can be leveraged to benchmark revenue performance—critical for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and facilitating the climate transition.
